On Friday we will be performing during a 2.0 Party called the 99% Feest which has been organised by our friends at the 1% Club. We picked three of their projects to support. Tjeerd was chosen by fellow musicians to receive this prestigious Dutch award for best guitarist. He received the award during the ‘Gala van de Popmuziek’ in the Melkweg

This week A Year And A Bit is the 3FM Megahit! Our new single will be played during every 3FM show for one week.
While on the road in the Balkans we received a phone call from KX Radio and Ilse De Lange passed the 3FM Award for Best Female Vocal to Voicst. We are truly honored and will try to respect the fact that we have borrowed it from her. Listen to the interview here (in Dutch):
It has been A Year And A Bit since we released our album A Tale of Two Devils.
And – you guessed it, our new single is the track “A Year And A Bit” and it gets officially released this week. Many thanks to our friend Brian Crosby from the Irish group Bell X 1 who has done a special remix. Other friends have also contributed to the package. Perquisite has done a funky remix and Kat has come up with the artwork. The original album version is also included. All three mixes are available exclusively as a digital download via Itunes. Individual tracks are also available and you can also have a listen online here or on our hyves and or myspace.
We were scratching our heads, thinking up ideas for a video when out of the blue some very cool fans sent us a link to a video they made for the song. We instantly fell in love with it and asked if we could make it our official video.
On the return from the Roadworks (Balkan mini-tour) shows 22, 24, and 26 April we are happy to also be playing in Budapest @ Merlin the 28th of April!
We are off to the Balkans to do three club shows in Zagreb (22 April), Sarajevo (24 April), and Belgrade (26 April). For further fun we will be doing numerous extra mini-concerts in these cities during the day from the back of a converted garbage truck – now a moving stage. These shows and mini-concerts are part of the Roadworks project which strives to build a positive enduring cultural exchange between the Netherlands and the countries of former Yugoslavia. Also: Mala Vita has done a special Serbo-Croatian cover version of our song Everyday I Work On The Road (download here). Both our version and Mala Vita’s cover will be released on a free single that will be given away during the mini-concerts.
We’re playing a short acoustic show next week in Arnhem together with Solo, GEM, Marike Jager and Hit Me Tv. Tickets via llink.nl/concert
